About the Awards

Every year, the Leeds Restaurant Association hosts the Eat Out Leeds Awards to celebrate the very best in culinary talent from across the Leeds area.

Only the top restaurants in the city make the shortlist for the awards which are being judged by a team of experts, plus specialist industry professionals and the public. Last year, well over 5000 members of the public voted, but this year, the Leeds Restaurant Association (LRA) are encouraging even more people to take the time to vote for their favourite restaurants in a bid to make this year the biggest vote in the history of the awards.

Previous winners of these prestigious awards include Harvey Nichols Fourth Floor CafĂ©, Brasserie 44, Malmaison, Bibi’s and Wagamama, whose culinary talents and service skills have impressed both the judges and public alike.

Leeds has a variety of restaurants offering everything from British to Thai food and much, much more. More commonly known for its ‘Knightsbridge of the North’ factor and its successes as a law and commercial centre, Leeds is much less known for its restaurants and culinary appeal, which is something that the LRA are hoping to change. Since the organisation first began, it has grown rapidly and now represents a mixture of over 75 restaurants including East Bar Lounge & Grill, The Living Room and Salvo’s and also played a key part in the organisation of the first ever Leeds Food and Drink Festival in 2006.
